Reviews of Woody’s Oasis
This is a classic in the East Lansing and Lansing areas. Close to Michigan State University campus with fresh, traditional middle eastern food. They only use fresh vegetables. There is a separate kosher and USDA kitchen located off-site for certified kosher meals and catering services. Everyone who works at Woody’s is friendly and the establishment is extremely generous with local charities and nonprofits. Woody’s is a favorite among generations of MSU students, alumni, staff and faculty.
Delicious food! Clean comfortable environment. I try to stop by every time I’m in town. Worth getting through the construction for consistently delicious eats!
Always really great food, the chicken schwarma is outstanding! If you like spicy food this has a great flavor without being overpowering. Prices are reasonable and they also offer catering services that always go over well for meetings.
My food was delicious! I got the spicy Falafel sandwich with Tubbouli salad, I was so full couldn’t even finish the salad. Service was super fast, the place is clean.

Really good food! The staff is always pleasant. We have vegetarians and meat eaters in our family. At Woody’s we can all get our favorites. The grape leaves with meat and without are a favorite!
Pretty good food for the area. Generous portions on the plate at a decent price. I ordered garlic chicken and while portion was great, chicken was a little dry and could have been marinated a bit more to moisten it up. Hummus was very tasty.
Nice Mediterranean bites, fast service and great tasty food, I really like the chicken schwarma and chicken kabobs. Also the garlic hummus is awesome!
The BEST spot in town for lunch or dinner. There are vegan and vegetarian options. My personal favorite is the falafel platter, and I get double hummus instead of salad. YUM! There are great add-on options like pickled turnips and grape leaves as well. Service is always fast and excellent. If I could give more stars I would!
The staff is friendly and quick. They offered bring the food to your table. They have a nice alternative to the regular pita bread, although you can still get the traditional flat kind that most Americans are used to.
This is the place to go for really great middle eastern foods. I love things like tabouli, baba ganoush, lebneh and all the good tasting healthy foods. Perfect for take out too.
Was a delightful treat of healthier options.
The spicy chicken pita sandwich was yummy. Great sides dishes of humus and salads.
What an amazing place. Delicious filling sandwiches for under $5. I wish there were more of these. Like replacing all other restaurants.
Delicious food. Clean. A great place to have lunch with coworkers, colleagues and special friends. A truly awesome experience!
Amazing food and service. Definitely stop in and enjoy yourself.
I have loved Woody’s food for 20 years. Still my favorite restaurant!
I love the friendly staff and always amazing food! Best hummus I have ever had!
Large portions of fresh, tasty food. I have never been disappointed by anything that I have ordered here. The line is always long at around noon, but I’ve never had to wait long. If you are looking for quick, reasonably priced, delicious healthy food, this is your place.
great authentic meals, large variety, nice service, and people, family owned
Amazing food and restroom looked like it was just cleaned every time I have eaten here
Excellent service and food, very quick with to-go orders!
The food was excellent, the setting is nice, and the staff seemed friendly. I will be back.
Drove here from Holland just for the Hummus!
Always good and fresh.
It’s all good, cheap, and fast. The strong unsweetened iced tea is a nice option on a hot day that you don’t get at every counter-service fountain drink station.
